Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Systems Engineer - Applied Physicist to lead system-level integration for the PET/CT image formation chain and to drive performance testing and image quality validation. You will work at the interface of physics, software, hardware, and clinical applications to deliver high-quality clinical images.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in medical imaging, strong programming skills, and a track record in quantitative imaging and system testing.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Physics, Engineering, Medical Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years in medical imaging, preferably PET/CT or PET/MR.
• Strong imaging physics and quantitative image analysis.
• Experience with system-level testing and troubleshooting.
• Programming experience for scientific computing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the system-level integration of the PET/CT image formation chain.
• Lead early system performance testing and troubleshooting.
• Develop quantitative image quality assessment methods.
• Define and validate new product functionality.
• Collaborate with Physics, Software, Hardware, Systems Eng, Clinical, and PM teams.
• Mentor and guide colleagues on imaging physics and system performance.
