Job summary

Tipp to Tail Pet Resort, part of Tipp City Veterinary Hospital, is seeking enthusiastic Pet Comfort Specialists to join our team. You’ll care for guests with daily enrichment, feed and monitor pets, and help ensure a safe, stress-free stay in a fast-paced, animal-loving environment.

Experience is not required; we provide thorough paid training. We offer flexible scheduling, medical/dental/vision benefits, a staff discount, and opportunities to grow into grooming, training, or medical roles.

Responsibilities

  • Feeding, exercising, and monitoring pets during their stay.
  • Providing enrichment and one-on-one attention.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and lodging suites.
  • Monitoring health and reporting concerns to medical staff.
  • Administering basic medications and supplements as directed.
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and stress-free environment for all animals.
  • Communicating clearly with pet owners and teammates.
  • Assisting in daycare, boarding, or training activities as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Comfort Specialist, you’ll ensure that each guest in our resort receives loving care, daily enrichment, and plenty of tail wags. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Feeding, exercising, and monitoring pets during their stay
  • Providing enrichment and one-on-one attention
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and lodging suites
  • Monitoring the health and well-being of guests and reporting concerns to medical staff
  • Administering basic medications and supplements as directed
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and stress-free environment for all animals
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with pet owners and teammates
  • Assisting in daycare, boarding, or training activities as needed
What You Bring

We’re looking for team players who are passionate about animals and eager to learn. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • A love for animals and an interest in their care and comfort
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to take direction and grow with feedback
  • Basic computer literacy (email, record-keeping systems)

Experience in pet care, vet med, or hospitality is a plus - but not required. We provide thorough, paid training.

Work Environment & Schedule

Tipp to Tail is abusy, high-energy environmentwith lots of interaction between pets, clients, and staff. Our team is united by a shared passion for animals and a culture of respect, support, and pride in our work.

  • Schedule: Flexible shifts available
    • Must be able to workmornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Shifts range from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
    • Double shifts (12-13 hours) are optional for interested team members
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs
  • Comfort handling dogs, cats, and exotic pets
  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion
  • Must be comfortable working around cleaning agents and animal allergens
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalentrequired (current high school students exempt)
  • Must beat least 16 years old
  • Must havereliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • No relocation assistance provided
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
