Job summary

Tipp City Veterinary Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pet Comfort Specialist for Tipp to Tail Pet Resort to help care for guests and provide daily enrichment. You will ensure a safe, stress-free stay for dogs, cats, and exotic pets in a lively, pets-first setting.

No prior experience required; thorough paid training is provided. Flexible shifts, weekends, and opportunities to grow into grooming, training, and medical roles are available.

Responsibilities

• Feed, exercise, and monitor pets during their stay.
• Provide enrichment and one-on-one attention.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and lodgings.
• Monitor health and report concerns to medical staff.
• Administer basic medications and supplements as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, stress-free environment for all animals.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners and teammates.
• Assist in daycare, boarding, or training activities as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Comfort Specialist, you’ll ensure that each guest in our resort receives loving care, daily enrichment, and plenty of tail wags. Your responsibilities may include:

• Feeding, exercising, and monitoring pets during their stay
• Providing enrichment and one-on-one attention
• Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and lodging suites
• Monitoring the health and well-being of guests and reporting concerns to medical staff
• Administering basic medications and supplements as directed
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and stress-free environment for all animals
• Communicating clearly and professionally with pet owners and teammates
• Assisting in daycare, boarding, or training activities as needed

What You Bring

We’re looking for team players who are passionate about animals and eager to learn. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• A love for animals and an interest in their care and comfort

• Basic computer literacy (email, record-keeping systems)

Experience in pet care, vet med, or hospitality is a plus - butnot required. We provide thorough, paid training.

Work Environment & Schedule

Tipp to Tail is abusy, high-energy environmentwith lots of interaction between pets, clients, and staff. Our team is united by a shared passion for animals and a culture of respect, support, and pride in our work.

• Schedule: Flexible shifts available
  • Must be able to workmornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Shifts range from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Double shifts (12–13 hours)are optional for interested team members

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs
• Comfort handling dogs, cats, and exotic pets
• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion
• Must be comfortable working around cleaning agents and animal allergens

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalentrequired (current high school students exempt)
• Must beat least 16 years old
• Must havereliable transportation
• Valid driver's license preferred
• No relocation assistance provided
• Visa sponsorship is not available
