What You’ll Do
- Greet pet parents and discuss grooming preferences
- Bathe, brush, dry, clip, and style dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes
- Trim nails and perform ear cleaning
- Ensure each pet's safety, comfort, and overall well-being
- Document grooming notes and pricing in our computer system
- Identify any medical concerns and communicate with the veterinary staff
- Maintain grooming tools and equipment
- Clean and disinfect the grooming space
- Provide excellent customer service with a professional demeanor
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of professional grooming experience (required)
- Grooming certification (preferred but not required)
- Portfolio of work may be requested
- Must have your own grooming hand tools
- Hand-scissoring skills required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to groom all sizes and temperaments of dogs and cats
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized
A test groom will be part of the interview process.
Work Environment & Schedule
You’ll work in a busy, supportive environment with frequent interaction with clients, pets, and staff members. Groomers have access to everything they need - and never work in isolation.
- Availability around holidays is required
- Shared grooming space with occasional solo shifts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout your shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs
- Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Allergic conditions aggravated by animals may be disqualifying
Other Details
- Must have avalid driver’s licenseandreliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No relocation assistance provided
