Job summary

Tipp to Tail Pet Resort, part of the award-winning Tipp City Veterinary Hospital (TCVH), seeks a skilled Pet Groomer for full-time or part-time roles in a modern facility. You’ll join a 100+ member team prioritizing quality over speed and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional grooming experience (required).
• Grooming certification (preferred but not required).
• Must have your own grooming hand tools.
• Hand-scissoring skills required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet pet parents and discuss grooming preferences.
• Bathe, brush, dry, clip, and style dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes.
• Trim nails and perform ear cleaning.
• Ensure each pet's safety, comfort, and overall well-being.
• Document grooming notes and pricing in our computer system.
• Identify any medical concerns and communicate with the veterinary staff.
• Maintain grooming tools and equipment.
• Clean and disinfect the grooming space.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional demeanor.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Ability to groom all sizes and temperaments of dogs and cats
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized
  

A test groom will be part of the interview process.

Work Environment & Schedule

You’ll work in a busy, supportive environment with frequent interaction with clients, pets, and staff members. Groomers have access to everything they need - and never work in isolation.

• Availability around holidays is required
• Shared grooming space with occasional solo shifts
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk throughout your shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs
• Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Allergic conditions aggravated by animals may be disqualifying

Other Details

• Must have avalid driver’s licenseandreliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• No relocation assistance provided
• Visa sponsorship is not available
