Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners in Terra Linda, California, is seeking a Kennel Attendant to maintain a clean, safe environment for hospitalized and boarding patients. You will assist with handling, feeding, and basic care while supporting veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Ideal candidates are dependable and animal-loving; lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Prior animal care experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of common medical conditions seen in a veterinary hospital setting
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
• Prior animal care experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, treatment areas, and common spaces
• Feed, water, and walk dogs according to established protocols
• Monitor patients for signs of illness, stress, or discomfort and report concerns to medical staff
• Assist with patient handling and basic restraint as needed
• Launder bedding, towels, and clinic materials
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry, waste, and kennel areas
• Provide basic comfort and enrichment for hospitalized and boarding patients
• Support technicians and veterinarians as directed
