Job summary

Animal Medical Center of Highland Village is seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our caring team. You will care for boarding and daycare pets, ensuring they receive proper food, exercise, and supervision to stay comfortable and safe during their stay.

You will monitor animal behavior, assist the medical team as needed, and help maintain a clean, safe environment across kennels and outdoor areas. A robust work ethic and ability to lift 50+ lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous animal handling experience is required.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: board and daycare pets receive appropriate food, exercise, and attention to ensure comfort and safety.
• Be the Eyes and Ears of Animal Health: monitor behavior and promptly notify the medical team of any concerns.
• Create a Safe and Healthy Environment: maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas, runs, and grounds.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: manage inventory for food and cleaning supplies and assist the team to complete tasks.
