Job summary

K9 Resorts in Virginia is seeking a Pet Care Technician who will work hands-on with dogs, providing compassionate care, supervising daycare playgroups, and ensuring safety on every shift.

The role requires a love for dogs, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, and weekend/holiday availability is expected. You may assist with feeding, bathing, and daily routines while maintaining cleanliness to brand standards.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate, hands-on care for dogs of all breeds and sizes.
• Supervising daycare playgroups and ensuring safe, positive interactions.
• Monitoring dog health, behavior, and safety and reporting concerns immediately.
• Cleaning and disinfecting suites and common areas to brand standards.
• Assisting with feeding, bathing, play sessions, and daily routines.
• Delivering a 5-star guest experience to every pet parent.
• Supporting team operations and maintaining a positive culture.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Care Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our resort—working hands-on with dogs and ensuring every guest receives exceptional care.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Providing compassionate, hands-on care for dogs of all breeds and sizes
• Supervising daycare playgroups and ensuring safe, positive interactions
• Monitoring dog health, behavior, and safety and reporting concerns immediately
• Cleaning and disinfecting suites and common areas to brand standards
• Assisting with feeding, bathing, play sessions, and daily routines
• Delivering a 5-star guest experience to every pet parent
