Job summary

Barks & Recreation is seeking a part-time dog-walker in Connecticut. Join a team that values fresh air, flexibility, and meaningful outdoor work with dogs. You’ll walk dogs, hike trails, and provide pet care visits while sharing updates and photos with pet parents.

Minimum availability is 3 days/week (2 of them Mon-Fri), with 4+ hours between 9AM-4PM. Paid mileage, tips, and scheduling flexibility are included, plus opportunities to grow into other roles if interested.

Qualifications

• Reliable, insured vehicle required.
• Smartphone with internet, GPS and a good camera.
• Love for animals and being active outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs on trails and provide pet care visits.
• Check in on pets while owners are busy.
• Share visit updates and photos to pet parents.
• Build relationships with pets and the team.

What You’ll Do:

• Dog walks, trail hikes, and pet care visits
• Check in on pets while pet parents are busy
• Share visit updates + photos of your visits (yes, it’s part of the job!)
• Build relationships with pets and our amazing team

The Schedule:

• Minimum availability is 3 days/week (2 of them M-F)
• 4+ consecutive hours between 9AM-4PM - availability outside of that a bonus!

Pay + Perks:

• $16.95/hr + tips (average $3-9/hr)
