Job summary

Canine Cabana LLC in Florida is seeking a Pet Care Specialist to provide high-quality care and attention to pets in our facility, focusing on health, safety, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate is passionate about animals, has a gentle demeanor, and communicates well.

We offer training in pet care, behavior, and customer service, and a supportive team. Shifts are long days within 5:30 am–8:00 pm, seven days a week, with several 10-hour slots.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with pets is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors.
• Capable of lifting and handling pets of various sizes.
• Certification in pet first aid and CPR is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and well-being of pets, reporting concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in pet enclosures and play areas.
• Supervise individual and group play sessions to ensure safety and enjoyment.

• Safely handle and guide pets throughout the facility using proper techniques and care.

Our Pet Care Specialists work a 10-hour shift within the operating hours of 5:30 am to 8:00 pm, seven days a week. Typically, shifts fall within the following timeframes:

• 5:30 am to 4:30 pm
• 6:00 am to 5:00 pm
• 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
• 9:0 am to 8:00 pm
