Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience in a specialty environment preferred.
• Passion for animals and knowledge of pet care is beneficial.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Promote health, safety, and proper care of all animals in accordance with Petco policies.
• Greet customers and deliver friendly, solution-focused service that builds trust.
• Lead by example with strong selling behaviors and customer service.
• Mentor and support new and junior associates, reinforcing store standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandising, and inventory tasks.
• Support leadership with operational tasks and special projects.
