Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking Team Members to support selling initiatives and deliver legendary customer service in our Laurel, MS store.

Responsibilities include operating the register, stocking, merchandising, and assisting customers while ensuring the safety and care of live animals. No experience required, though retail or pet knowledge is strongly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• No experience required; retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills are needed for daily tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically with minimal conflict.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required; reading, writing and counting abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures.
• Recovery of merchandise and participation in freight process.
• Execute to completion Plan-o-gram merchandising and resets.
• Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties.
• Execute price changes/markdowns and assist customers with loading purchases.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of live animals and maintain holding tanks.
• Handle and care for live animals, including food, bedding, and habitat.
• Complete all documentation for duties.
