Pawsitive Dawg Walking and Pet Sitting, LLC in Waltham, MA is seeking an Assistant Operations Coordinator to blend hands-on pet care with team leadership. You will help keep daily operations running smoothly, support managers, and step in to deliver high-quality care when needed.

Earn at least $18 per hour with mileage reimbursement and benefits, with growth via leadership development and certifications. This full-time role requires weekend availability and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience; overseeing multiple team members is preferred.
• At least 3 years of prior experience in pet care or animal-related environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Clear communication skills and professional client interactions.
• Comfort using Google Workspace, scheduling tools, and mobile apps.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
• Weekend availability and occasional urgent coverage.
• Commitment to force-free, fear-free pet care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct pet care services (dog walking, dog sitting, cat sitting, small animal visits) per fear-free handling.
• Lead day-to-day operations with coordinators, specialists, and team leads; track initiatives and ensure service standards.
• Serve as a go-to resource for the team; support hiring, onboarding and training; help resolve operational issues.
• Monitor schedules and staffing coverage to support smooth service delivery, especially weekends/holidays.
• Communicate with clients professionally; coordinate visit details and follow-up needs.
• Step in for urgent coverage; complete visit notes and photos in scheduling app; maintain safe service.
