Job summary

PetSmart, a leading pet retailer, is seeking a Pet Associate (Retail Sales Associate) to engage with pet parents and their pets, deliver friendly service, and uphold the company’s values. You’ll help with store cleanliness, care for store pets, and assist customers with products, online orders, and adoption events.

This full-time role requires teamwork, flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and a commitment to safe, positive experiences for customers and their pets.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Engage with pet parents and their pets while providing positive experiences.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with in-store shopping.
• Prepare online orders for pickup and ensure a smooth pickup experience.
• Help care for store pets, including feeding and cleaning habitats.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with pricing and promotions.
• Promote events and sales; support other areas of the store as needed.
