Job summary

PetSmart’s Retail Sales Associate role focuses on delivering a positive experience for pet parents and pets inside our store. You will help with customer questions, online order pickups, and pet care duties while upholding PetSmart’s standards for cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Engage with pet parents and provide helpful, friendly service at the counter and sales floor.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and guide them through purchases.
• Prepare online orders for pickup in-store for a smooth customer experience.
• Care for store-owned pets, including feeding, cleaning habitats, and monitoring health.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist with price changes and promotions.
• Stage and stock merchandise to match floor plans and displays.
• Inform customers about merchandise, services, and live pets.
• Assist in events and promotions (adoption weekends, Treats enrollment, charity events).
• Ensure a safe environment for associates, pets, and customers.
