Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a pet care center. You will oversee staff, ensure top-notch customer service, and drive sales while maintaining compliance with labor laws.

This role requires hands-on leadership, scheduling, and daily operations management to support a high-standard pet care environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of management experience in hospitality/retail, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year management experience in hospitality, service or retail environments.
• Experience in problem-solving and using sound judgment.
• Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills.
• Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
• Interaction with customers, co-workers and the public professionally.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and salesmanship.
• Manages center staff under the General Manager's direction (recruit, hire, train, coach, promote).
• Ensures compliance with federal/local labor laws (OSHA, EEOC, ADA).
• Schedules staff to balance service with payroll budget.
• Promotes and markets Destination Pet programs and services.
