Job summary

VCA Animal Wellness Center is seeking Kennel Attendants to provide daily care for pets in our upscale boarding facility. You will feed, water, clean, walk and monitor animals while learning gentle handling and high standards of care.

The team emphasizes supportive management and a positive, low-stress environment. Compensation is competitive with benefits, and a flexible schedule includes afternoons, evenings, and some weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow low-stress handling techniques.
• Able to work independently and without supervision.
• Outgoing personality and ability to work with diverse people.
• Effective communication with clients in person, by phone and electronically.
• High attention to detail and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with Windows-based computer software and scheduling tasks.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care for dogs, cats and other pets in boarding.
• Feed, water, clean, walk, bathe and monitor well-being of animals.
• Administer medications with appropriate training and supervision.
• Observe signs of distress or disease and respond appropriately.
