Job summary

VCA Westerville East Animal Hospital is seeking a Full or Part Time Kennel Assistant to care for dogs and cats in boarding, focusing on low-stress handling and compassionate care. The role requires lifting up to 40 lb, independent work, and strong client communication. Training and a supportive team environment are highlighted.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Care for pets in our boarding facility: feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing and monitoring well-being.
• Lift and move heavy pets and objects; administer medications with care.
• Maintain safety and low-stress handling for all animals.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Support management and RVTs as part of a team.
