Job summary

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a dedicated Adoptions Specialist to join our Papago Park Campus on a full-time basis. You will greet adopters, escort them through kennels, and guide the matchmaking process to ensure a positive experience.

Strong communication and compassionate care are essential in educating families about pets and their needs. Responsibilities include creating online pet profiles, matching pets to adopters, and guiding adopters on supplies and aftercare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of work experience.
• Experience in customer service or animal welfare preferred.
• Must learn and demonstrate handling animals safely and humanely.

Responsibilities

• Greet adopters and escort them through kennels to assist in the matchmaking process.
• Create online pet profiles to generate interest and support adoptions.
• Educate adopters about pet needs, history, and required supplies from the store.
