Job summary

Abell Pest Control is seeking a motivated Pest Technician to join our team. This role trains on base salary with commission and bonus opportunities while building a solid customer base through on-site inspections and service calls.

You will conduct thorough pest assessments, recommend effective eradication methods, and establish new business opportunities as you travel to client sites, with thorough on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to obtain Applicator’s License.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Sales experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, The Pest Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to a variety of business including residential homes. They identify pest problems, choose an effective approach to eradicate pests and provide recommendations to prevent future infestation. You will also be required to build new business through sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods
• Establish contact with potential customers to create new business opportunities
• Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using fumigants, pesticides and power spraying equipment, such wearing protective gear guidelines
• Manage schedule and route to ensure services are completed in a timely manner
• Address customer needs and optimize their program on-site
