Job summary

Rocket Pest in Conway, SC is hiring a Pest Service Professional to manage the assigned route, perform home and property inspections, and apply programs to control roaches, rats, ants, bedbugs, and more.

You will work Monday-Friday with some Saturdays, require background and drug checks, lift up to 50 lbs, and maintain equipment; full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of 30-day initial training and earning minimum of two CEUs annually.
• Must have a current and valid driver license; ideal age, at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to calculate basic math.
• Safety-sensitive position; pass background check and drug screen.
• Must work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service schedules for all customers on assigned route, calling customer prior to their service.
• Inspect/Troubleshoot pest infestations and apply pest control strategies.
• Communicate effectively with customers before, during and after service delivery.
• Monitor infestation/rodent areas and pest application methods; report progress to customers and managers.
• Complete and submit service-related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintain assigned service vehicle, equipment, and tools in good condition.
• Adhere to driving laws and company policies when operating vehicles.
• Assist in termite bait station checks.
• Participate in collections efforts.

Our Position

This position will have a designated route where you will be responsible for fulfilling a daily production schedule, operating under limited supervision, arriving to customers in a timely basis, explaining the scope of services you will provide for them, controlling insects, rodents and other pests involving application of professional products and tactics. Pest Service Professional will conduct home and property inspections by identifying potential and actual pest problems, remove unwanted pests including but not limited to roaches, rats, ants, bedbugs, etc., and offer detailed plans on how to effectively treat infestation areas and design further control strategies such as Integrated Pest Management.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain service schedules for all customers on assigned route, calling customer prior to their service.
• Inspect/Troubleshoot pest infestations as needed to employ sound pest control strategies to maintain a pest free environment for customers on assigned route.
• Communicate effectively with customers prior to, during and after service delivery in order to assess and meet their needs.
• Continuously monitor infestation/rodent areas and pest application methods (i.e. baits, traps, etc.) after application and communicate progress to customers and operation managers.
• Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to constantly improve upon skill level.
• Complete and submit service-related paperwork in a timely and orderly fashion.
• Maintain assigned service vehicle, equipment, and tools in clean/good working condition.
• Adhere and abide to all driving laws/company policies when operating company vehicles.
• Responsible for data integrity in the PestPac and other software systems used by the organization.
• Assist in Sentricon termite bait station checks.
• Participate in collections efforts.

Our Requirements

• Complete a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Position requires successful completion of 30-day initial training (classroom and field training) and earning minimum of two CEU’s annually.
• Must have a current and valid driver license; ideal age, at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 50 pounds or more.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication, to speak with customers on the phone and in-person correspondence.
• Ability to calculate basic math.
• Must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• This is a safety-sensitive position; where a momentary lapse of concentration can result in serious injury, death, environmental consequences, or data breach.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• Must be able to pass a seven-year criminal background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet insurance requirements.
