Orkin is hiring a Pest Control Technician in Springfield, IL. You’ll inspect and install pest and home protection systems, working with a crew to deliver attic, crawlspace, and insulation services.

The role involves light carpentry, customer communication, and equipment upkeep, with company-paid training and tools provided. Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a state pesticide license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain state pesticide license within 90 days (company-paid training).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work safely in attics or crawlspaces.
• Must wear PPE including OSHA-compliant respirator as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Work as part of a technician crew to complete installs and service tasks.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation.
• Perform light carpentry work.
• Communicate clearly with customers.
• Maintain company equipment and complete reports via handheld device.
