Job description

Pest Control Technician

Location: Minnesota (Lincoln area, with travel to Eagan, Minnesota during training).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with commercial and hospitality customers.
• Partner with customers on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs.
• Maintain expertise in Ecolab’s product and service offerings and industry conditions to enhance service and sales of pest prevention and elimination solutions.
• Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation, and pest issues.
• Operate a company service vehicle and drive a monthly schedule independently.

Position Details

• Field‑based position requiring travel within the surrounding areas of Lincoln, Missouri.
• Schedule: Bread Route, Monday‑Friday.
• 5‑week comprehensive paid training program; includes one week at Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota.
• Travel for training paid by Ecolab.

Compensation

Hourly range: $19.31 per hour (actual pay depends on experience, education, training, geography, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work or military experience.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work overnight shifts as needed and be on call during off‑work hours and weekends.
• Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Background check and drug test (including THC) required for all candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience selling value‑added products to existing customers.
• Previous pest elimination industry or route experience.

Physical Demands

Position requires wearing and using a respirator; lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50 pounds chest high; working in various conditions including confined spaces, damp or dusty locations, use of ladders, and freezing or hot environments. Essential duties include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands and fingers, balancing, walking, standing, talking, and hearing. Drive a company vehicle to perform job duties.
