Job summary

Aptive Pest Control is seeking a Pest Control Technician to work on the road around Valparaiso, IN, reporting weekly to the Merrillville/South Bend office. Earn $19.50-$23.50 per hour with uncapped bonuses and a company vehicle provided for travel.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; training provided.
• A valid US driver's license for at least 3 years is required.
• Clean driving record; no more than one moving violation in past year and no more than two in past 4 years.
• Drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires.

Responsibilities

• Drive a daily route to resolve customer pest concerns.
• Maintain truck and equipment in good order.
• Keep accurate treatment records.
• Mix and apply pesticides following state and federal laws.
• Serve as SME for customers with effective pest solutions.
• Maintain route customers per company standards.
• Advise customers of potential problems and keep management informed.
• Maintain inventory of pesticides and ensure route within local area.
• Carry a ~50 lb product backpack.
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday.

This is a full-time Pest Control Technician position located on the road in the area around Valparaiso, IN This position will report to our office in Merrillville/South Bend, IN once per week. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

Responsibilities include:

• Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
• Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
• Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
• Advise customers of potential problems
• Keep management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage
• Please note that you will be assigned a route in your local area
• Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday

Qualifications:
