Job summary

RED Pest Control is seeking a Pest Control Technician in Fort Worth, TX to deliver residential and commercial pest management services. You will inspect, treat, monitor, educate customers, and document activities while maintaining safety and professionalism.

Overnight and after-hours work may be required for commercial clients. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, implementing treatment plans, educating homeowners, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pest control experience preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required state licenses and certificates.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Independent work with minimal supervision; flexible scheduling including day, evening, overnight, weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate findings to property managers and facility staff.
  • Perform overnight or after-hours services as needed; coordinate with clients to minimize disruption.
  • Ensure safety compliance and proper PPE use.
  • Maintain company vehicles and inventory; report maintenance needs.

Job description

The Pest Control Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality pest management services to both residential and commercial customers. This position performs inspections, treatments, monitoring services, customer education, and pest prevention while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. The technician may be scheduled to perform overnight and after-hours services for commercial clients whose operations require treatment outside of normal business hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Residential Pest Management Services
  • Perform residential pest control inspections and treatments according to company
  • standards and service protocols.
  • Identify pest activity, conducive conditions, and entry points.
  • Recommend and implement treatment plans designed to control and prevent pest infestations.
  • Educate homeowners on pest prevention measures and service recommendations.
  • Build positive customer relationships through exceptional service and communication.
Commercial Pest Management Services
  • Perform inspections, treatments, monitoring, and documentation for commercial clients. Service a variety of commercial facilities, including offices, restaurants, warehouses, retail locations, healthcare facilities, schools, and industrial properties.
  • Maintain detailed service records and comply with customer-specific service requirements.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to property managers, business owners, and facility personnel.
  • Ensure all services meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Perform overnight, early morning, evening, and other off-hours services as assigned. Service commercial accounts requiring treatments outside of normal operating hours. Complete specialized treatments with minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Accurately document all overnight service activities and communicate findings to management.
Customer Service & Communication
  • Provide exceptional customer service during every interaction.
  • Clearly explain pest issues, treatment methods, and recommendations to customers. Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for customers regarding pest management solutions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Document pest activity, treatment methods, products used, and recommendations. Report customer concerns, service opportunities, and operational issues to management. Maintain accurate records within company software systems.
Vehicle, Equipment & Inventory Management
  • Maintain company vehicles in a clean, safe, and professional condition. Properly care for company equipment, tools, and application devices. Monitor and maintain product inventory on assigned vehicles.
  • Report maintenance, equipment, or inventory concerns promptly.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements. Maintain required state licenses and certifications.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations governing pest management services.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all product label requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education and required training programs.
Professional Development
  • Attend company meetings, technical training sessions, and continuing education programs.
  • Stay current on pest identification, treatment methods, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Support company goals and contribute to a positive team culture.

Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in both residential and commercial environments. Position requires extensive driving between customer locations.
  • Work may be conducted indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • May require working overnight, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on customer needs.
  • Exposure to insects, rodents, wildlife, pests, dust, cleaning chemicals, and pest control products is expected.
  • May require working in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, warehouses, mechanical rooms, food service facilities, and other challenging environments.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting are required.
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to all company safety standards.

Compensation Range
  • Candidates with Standard Technician License = $45,000 per year
  • Candidates with Certified Applicator License = $55,000 per year
