The Commercial Technician is responsible for providing high-quality pest management services to commercial clients while serving as a technical resource within the company. This position focuses on commercial account service, advanced treatment methods, product evaluation, industry research, and continuing education. The Commercial Technician helps drive service excellence by staying current on industry trends, emerging products, and entomological best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Commercial Pest Management Services
- Perform pest control inspections, treatments, and monitoring services for commercial clients.
- Identify pest issues and develop effective treatment recommendations based on client needs and industry standards.
- Ensure all services are completed in accordance with company procedures, state regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and treatment plans.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding pesticide use and pest management practices.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and materials in a safe and professional manner. Report safety concerns, service issues, or compliance concerns to management.
Qualifications
- Valid pest control technician license as required by state regulations.
- Commercial pest control experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pest identification, biology, and treatment methods. Interest in entomology, research, and continuing education.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency with service software, mobile technology, and reporting systems.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a variety of commercial environments, including offices, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, restaurants, healthcare facilities, retail establishments, schools,
- and other commercial properties.
- Position requires frequent driving between customer locations throughout the service area. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- May require working in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, mechanical rooms, storage areas, and other challenging environments.
- Exposure to insects, rodents, wildlife, pests, dust, cleaning chemicals, and pest control products is expected.
- Position requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting equipment and materials throughout the workday.
- May require occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work to accommodate customer schedules and commercial service needs.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry equipment, products, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the company at customer locations.

Compensation Range
- Candidates with Standard Technician License = $45k annually + full benefits and one week PTO
- Candidates with Certified Applicator License = $55k+ annually + full benefits and one week PTO
