Job summary

Jobtailor in North Carolina is seeking a Pest Control Technician to perform residential pest management, inspect properties, identify pests, apply treatments, and educate customers on prevention. The role requires a clean-shaven face for respirator seals, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to learn all areas of pest control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clean-shaven face required for respirator seal.
• Valid driver's license from state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates required by regulations, covered by employer.
• Available Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to learn all areas of pest control.
• Solid reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills to follow product-label mixing instructions.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust and chemicals.
• Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate.
• Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Ability to wear OSHA-compliant respiratory PPE.
