Job summary

Dodson Pest Control is hiring a Full Time PC Technician in Charlottesville, VA. You will inspect and diagnose pest issues in homes and businesses, providing pest management services with a focus on customer service.

Training is provided, with potential to become a licensed applicator and a schedule that may include Saturdays. Starting compensation may be hourly during training, with potential to transition to production/commission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to access physically restrictive areas and areas of significant height.
• Acceptable driving record and background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose pest issues in residential and commercial settings.
• Provide Pest Management services to customers professionally.
• Be customer service oriented at all times.
• Apply pesticides safely and effectively per label and state regulations.
• Attend training to become a registered technician or licensed applicator.
• Be flexible with work schedule, including occasional Saturdays.

Experience in the pest control industry is helpful, but not required. The company provides intensive and thorough training on an ongoing basis to all employees. A strong work ethic and commitment to customer service are required.

The Pest Control Technician position may begin as an hourly paid position and after training change to a production/commission arrangement. Average earnings on this arrangement are $48,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose pest issues in both residential and commercial settings
• Provide Pest Management services to residential and commercial customers in a professional manner
• Be customer service oriented at all times
• Apply pesticides in safely and effectively in accordance with the label and State regulations
• Willingness to attend and complete all scheduled training and to become a registered technician or certified and/or licensed applicator.
• Willingness to adjust standard work schedule to meet the needs of our customers, which may require occasional Saturday work
