A leading pest control company seeks a Service Professional to ensure exceptional client service and the effective management of pest control tasks. This role involves working independently in the field, maintaining frequent communication with the service center, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations while providing high-quality pest management services.
Primary responsibility for this position is to make every effort to satisfy each client this position has contact with. The Service Professional is responsible for providing excellence of service while assuring accuracy and efficacy of work and maintaining Modern's productivity requirements.
The Service Professional will work unassisted in the field Monday through Friday, as well as some Saturday availability, communicating, inspecting, and servicing clients. While the Service Professional will be working in the field, they will also work and maintain frequent communication with the Service Center. The Service Professional must be able to work with and take direction from Client Care Professionals, who organize any "Call Backs" or other changes into the incumbent's daily schedule. Be knowledgeable of and comply with all Federal, State, and Local pesticide regulations and all pesticide labels and labeling directions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS AND DUTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Maintain Modern Pest Services productivity requirements and client service requirements.
Maintain company vehicle according to Modern Pest standards.
Be knowledgeable of and follow Modern Pest safety policies, including safety while mixing and using pesticides , using equipment, and while driving.
Effectively and efficiently plan and organize your daily work to achieve short- and long-range objectives . Confirm that all required service materials are available for the day’s services on morning departure and upon arrival at the service location.
Be able to adapt to changes in equipment, technology, work procedures, regulations, company policies and others. Maintain current knowledge of all Modern Pest SOPs.
Ensure all licenses and required courses are achieved and maintained .
Communicate Modern Pest service programs, warranties and what to expect after service and length of time before pest infestation is eradicated to clients.
Request help and/or keep the Service Manager completely informed when encountering difficulties with an account, client, or pest.
Maintain required communication with Service Center. Accept additional work from Client Care Professionals or Branch Manager with a positive attitude. Have a positive attitude about everyday workload and willingly accept work that is assigned at inconvenient times.
Continually strive to improve skills and knowledge as a pest management professional. This includes studying training materials, reading trade magazines, and attending training meetings.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. No pest management experience necessary .
Valid driver’s license.
Have or be able to learn practical and technical knowledge of duties, functions, service, and product offerings, terminology, work procedures, and company policies.
Be able to work in a team-based environment.
Have strong oral and written communication skills.
Be dependable and honest, have good judgement/decision making ability, have a positive attitude and excellent work ethic. Be able to use positive language in a professional setting.
Required Skills
Requires constant contact with clients and frequent contact with the Service Center and fellow Team Members.
Inspections and treatments are performed indoors and outdoors on clients’ property. May be exposed to cold, heat, rain, snow, wind, dust, cement, shrubs, odors, noise, and others.
Requires use of industry products, materials, and equipment.
Constantly requires working early morning hours and evening hours outside the normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requires Saturday availability as requested by the Branch Manager.
Requires occasional (0% - 33% of the time) nights, weekends, and overnights.
Must possess ability to operate industry equipment including but not limited to: standard shift pick-up truck, handheld mobile device, hand powered backpack applicators, compressed air sprayers, dusters, foggers, bait guns, drills, carpenters' tools, and others.
Physical Requirements
Requires constant (67% - 100% of the time) standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, and stretching.
Requires constant ability to move freely about the client site. Requires ability to travel long distances from client site to client site. Requires constant ability to enter and exit incumbent's vehicle .
Must be able and willing to work early hours, as needed. Must possess ability and stamina to work long hours while performing physical labor.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires ability to constantly operate industry equipment.
