Job summary

Big Blue Bug Solutions in Providence, RI is hiring Pest Control Service Technicians to join a growing New England team. This full-time role offers a 40+ hour week, a starting wage with bonus and commission, and comprehensive benefits.

You will perform inspections, recommend services, and educate customers on pest prevention while maintaining vehicle and equipment. Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 1–10 years of experience in service industries, and a valid driver’s license.

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Starting Pay: Guaranteed Hourly Wage + Bonus + Commission

Responsibilities for a Pest Control Service Technicians:

• Provide consistent, friendly, and high quality service to clients
• Conduct inspections for pests, pest harborages and pest entry ways
• Determine, recommend and provide required pest management services per government and company guidelines
• Inform customers on how to reduce pest pressures through proper sanitation, storage and landscaping #Educate
• Prepare written reports for customers and explain services in a clear and friendly manner
• Operate and maintain service vehicle, and other service equipment, per government and company guidelines #Safety
• Utilize, secure and store products and materials in strict accordance with labels, and government and company guidelines
• Ensure required equipment, products and materials are on service vehicle to perform scheduled services
• Document service activities as required and submit paperwork as directed
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and/or registrations as required, and participate in company training as directed
• Propose additional company services to customers as appropriate

Required Qualifications for Pest Control Service Technicians:

• Prior customer service experience
• Valid driver’s license; driving record that meets or exceeds company minimum requirements
• Applicant must live within the local service area
• Ability to use computer-based technology such as smartphone, tablet, e-mail, and customer database
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements
• Experience in the service industry a plus
