Job summary

Orkin is hiring in Bloomington, Indiana for a field technician who will protect homes and businesses from pests. You will serve customers on your daily route, gain hands-on experience through our paid training, and join a team that values safety, professionalism, and integrity.

No pest control experience required—training covers everything. You’ll inspect properties, communicate solutions clearly, and grow into leadership or sales roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.
• Wear PPE, including potential OSHA-compliant respirator.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers professionally on your daily route and provide top-tier pest protection.
• Inspect properties and identify pest issues, training provided.
• Communicate solutions clearly and empathetically to customers.
• Recommend additional services that bring peace of mind.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely.
• Complete reports and documentation on a handheld device.
