Job Description

If you are a Business Development professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you in the West region! This is a fully remote position; candidates must be based in Irvine, California, or Phoenix, Arizona. You will drive innovation and growth by identifying new business opportunities, leveraging your expertise in our product and solutions portfolio, and collaborating with account managers to engage with key decision-makers and technical experts.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify and create new business opportunities for our product solutions, collaborating with account managers to expand our customer base.
  2. Build relationships with customer stakeholders and subject matter experts, guiding technical discussions and product presentations.
  3. Understand our products deeply, conducting demonstrations and test installations to showcase their value.
  4. Lead projects from initial contact to purchase order, ensuring smooth execution.
  5. Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to keep our offerings competitive.
  6. Support and train sales teams, facilitating the implementation of strategies and providing product knowledge.
  7. Contribute to strategic planning by identifying regional market opportunities and providing product feedback.
  8. Monitor and report on customer satisfaction and important data to support improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical field.
  • Seven (7) years of industry experience, with at least four (4) in sales or marketing.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in Business Development.
  • MBA is a plus.
