Job summary

Assessment Intervention Management (A.I.M.) seeks a homeschool instructor to design, deliver, and evaluate personalized lessons for middle school Math and ELA in a one-on-one or small-group setting, fostering mastery and confidence.

You will align lessons with state standards, assess progress, adapt for ASD/dyslexia, and maintain open communication with families, supporting independent learning and love of learning.

Qualifications

• Required: Certified teacher or 5+ years of homeschool instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or English preferred.
• Experience teaching middle school Math and ELA.
• Familiarity with learning disabilities and ability to adapt lessons.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Creative, patient, empathetic, and committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum Design & Lesson Planning: Create and implement customized lesson plans aligned with state standards and student learning styles.
• Instruction & Engagement: Deliver lessons that are interactive and adaptive—integrating games, real-world examples, STEM-related readings, and writing exercises as appropriate.
• Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Administer and grade assignments, quizzes, and projects. Track progress regularly, identify areas for improvement, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Support Diverse Learners: Modify lessons to meet the needs of students with learning differences, such as ASD, dyslexia, or dysgraphia. Employ strategies that build confidence, strengthen executive functioning, and promote engagement.
• Feedback & Communication: Provide timely, constructive feedback to students. Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians to share updates and suggest strategies for further support.
• Learning Environment Management: Establish and maintain a positive, nurturing, and organized learning space—focused on fostering independent learning, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
