Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking a home-based Tutor to provide one-on-one instruction tailored to a student with special needs. You will anchor sessions in the student’s IEP, focusing on reading, writing, and math, while supporting communication via AAC devices and building a structured learning routine.

Ideal candidates hold an Education Specialist Credential with Extensive Support Needs, have experience with multiple disabilities, and foster a patient, collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications

• Required: Education Specialist Credential with Extensive Support Needs authorization.
• Experience supporting students with multiple disabilities and using AAC devices preferred.
• Strong skills in differentiated instruction and foundational academic support.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted instruction in Reading, Writing, and Math.
• Support foundational learning goals, including identifying letters, colors, and shapes.
• Utilize AAC device to facilitate communication.
• Implement developmentally appropriate strategies tailored to the student’s learning needs.
• Maintain a supportive, patient, and structured learning environment.
