Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year of educational or clerical experience.
• Licensing requirements include First Aid and CPR within 30 days of employment and DPS FPCC clearance.
• Knowledge of basic first aid, basic mathematical skills, customer service, computer operations, and classroom operations.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher by helping with classroom instruction and modifying for students requiring adjustments.
• Provides one-on-one or small group tutoring across curricular areas.
• Monitors behavior inside and outside the classroom and escorts students on campus.
• Assists with cleanup and material preparation after activities and events.
• Prepares classroom for activities and organizes assignments and folders.
• Assists with grading papers and administrative tasks.
• Attends in-service trainings and meetings.
• Participates in testing students and entering progress data into systems.
• Maintains bulletin boards, displays, and stock of materials; communicates with parents.
