Job summary

OpenAI's Personalization-Memory team is focused on learning from prior interactions to become more helpful and efficient. We develop memory and personalization capabilities that transfer across ChatGPT and other agentic products.

This San Francisco-based role involves researching improvements to memory usage, reinforcement learning, and post-training methods, building evaluations, and collaborating with research and product teams to ship product-driven research.

Qualifications

• Background in frontier models post-training.
• Ability to iterate quickly and conduct product-driven research.
• Experience with user signals and human data for evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Own and pursue a research agenda for memory and personalization.
• Build robust evaluations to track modeling improvements.
• Design, implement, test, and debug code across the research stack.
• Collaborate with research and product teams to shape technical solutions.
