Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is actively seeking a Personal Trainer to create individualized workout programs, conduct fitness assessments, and recruit personal training clients. You will deliver engaging workouts, guide members toward their goals, and promote training services while maintaining documentation and quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen training required within 90 days of hire.
• Current NCCA-accredited Personal Trainer certification required before hire.
• If BS in Exercise Science or Kinesiology, must obtain PT certification within 90 days of hire.
• Complete Principles of Member Health and Wellness training and job-specific training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements customized fitness programs for members based on goals and fitness levels.
• Delivers safe, effective workouts and conducts training sessions.
• Promotes and sells personal training services to members.
• Maintains accurate records of training sessions and member progress.
• Keeps wellness areas clean and reports maintenance issues promptly.
