Job summary

The West Suburban YMCA in Newton, MA is seeking experienced Certified Personal Trainers for our Wells Ave fitness center. Pay range is $24-$30 per hour depending on experience, certifications and education.

Qualifications

• Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED.
• National Personal Training Certification through ACE, ACSM, NCSA, NATA, NASM.
• Minimum of two years fitness/training experience preferred.
• YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trains clients in a safe, enjoyable environment that aligns with YMCA policies.
• Oversee Wellness and Fitness area with 2 shifts and support new member sessions.
• Be a resource for exercise questions and member wellness information.
• Track client sessions accurately following YMCA protocol.
• Follow YMCA policies and respond to emergencies.
