Job summary

YMCA of the North is hiring certified Personal Trainers at St. Paul Midway YMCA to help members achieve health goals. Roles include both full-time and part-time with flexible schedules and pay ranging from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour. Benefits include a free YMCA membership and paid session prep time.

Qualifications

• NCCA-accredited and/or nationally recognized Personal Training Certification.
• CPR/PR and AED certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Formal training in the specialty class being taught and/or ability to demonstrate movements.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an individual/group and motivate others.
• Ability to work with all age groups and ability levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and instruct personal and group training sessions for clients.
• Administer health history questionnaires and fitness assessments.
• Adhere to policies and ensure safe classes and report incidents.
• Promote and sell personal training programs to meet revenue goals.
• Maintain required CECs and national certifications.
• Follow Fitness Floor expectations when not scheduled for training.
