Job summary

YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is seeking a Personal Trainer to provide high-quality, safe exercise prescriptions for members and program participants. You will conduct fitness assessments and tailor programs to diverse fitness levels and preferences.

The role requires excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds. CPR/AED/First Aid and a national PT certification are required before hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nationally recognized personal training certification (AFAA, ACE, NSCA, NASM, or ACSM).
• Ability to conduct fitness assessments and tailor programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work varying shifts including weeknights/weekends.
• Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds.
