Personal Trainer / Performance Coach Position Description

Role Summary
As a Performance Coach at Resultz Only Fitness, you are responsible for three outcomes:
- Elite client experience
- Retention, referrals, and revenue growth
- Leadership on the floor
Every coach is expected to coach, communicate, and contribute to the business.
Core Responsibilities
Client Experience & Retention
- Deliver high-energy, engaging training sessions that clients are excited to attend.
- Ensure every client feels safe, supported, challenged, and seen.
- Coach actively throughout the session—cueing, correcting, encouraging.
- Monitor client engagement, morale, and effort in real time.
- Create experiences that go beyond the workout.
Community & Culture
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, high-standard environment.
- Encourage camaraderie, accountability, and interaction among clients.
- Uphold and reinforce the House of Resultz culture daily.
- Ensure new clients feel immediately welcomed and integrated.
Sales, Communication & Business Impact (Required)
- This is a performance-based role with a sales component.
- All coaches are expected to:
- Confidently communicate gym offerings, programs, and upgrades.
- Support consultations, conversions, and client retention efforts.
- Identify opportunities for clients to progress within the system.
- Reinforce value, outcomes, and commitment—without pressure tactics.
- Understand that great coaching drives revenue, and revenue fuels opportunity.
- Coaches who avoid sales conversations or responsibility will not advance.
Coaching Standards
Session Execution
- Start every session on time with a strong, confident introduction.
- Clearly demonstrate movements with emphasis on safety and form.
- Provide regressions, progressions, and alternatives as needed.
- Remain fully engaged—no sitting, no disengagement, no unnecessary phone use.
- Coach the room with purpose and presence.
Client Engagement
- Interact with every client multiple times per session.
- Provide consistent encouragement, feedback, and correction.
- Move continuously throughout the training floor.
Tactile Cueing
- Always ask for permission before physical corrections.
- Use knuckles—not fingers—when providing tactile cues.
End-of-Session
- Reserve final 5 minutes for client connection, progress reinforcement, and community building.
- Clean and organize all equipment.
- Prepare the facility for the next session or coach.
Shift Expectations
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early, prepared and in uniform.
- Be showered, professional, and mentally ready to coach.
- Review and display workouts before clients arrive.
- Know current promotions and speak to them confidently.
- Greet every client by name within 10 seconds of entry.
Facility Standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of training floor, common areas, and bathrooms.
- Leave the gym professional, organized, and ready for the next shift.
- Treat the facility as a direct reflection of the brand.
Dress Code & Hygiene (Non-Negotiable)
Uniform
- Gym-branded top required (logo visible).
- Athletic shorts or pants (leggings permitted for female coaches).
- No jeans, hats, or overly revealing attire.
- Athletic footwear required.
Hygiene
- Clean teeth and fresh breath.
- Deodorant required at all times.
- Hair and facial hair must be neat and well maintained.
Performance Requirements & KPIs
- Performance is evaluated quarterly and includes client retention and attendance, referral activity and engagement, coaching quality and energy, communication and professionalism, sales participation and effectiveness, leadership presence on the floor.
- Target Metrics:
- ≤ 5% client attrition per quarter
- Consistent contribution to studio growth and upgrades
