Job summary

Greater Austin YMCA is seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer to build a robust client base and deliver personalized fitness plans. You will also serve as a floor monitor, ensuring a safe, motivating gym environment and conducting equipment orientations for newcomers.

The role includes leading sessions, promoting the YMCA values, and representing the Y in the community. Certification from a recognized body is required, and the position offers an hourly rate of $15 when not actively with clients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Certification from a nationally recognized organization is required (examples listed).

Responsibilities

• Conduct personal training sessions with members as scheduled.
• Encourage members to learn about benefits of exercise and other YMCA programs.
• Lead individual or group activities as designated by the Health & Wellness Director.
• Ensure equipment is clean and ready for the next session.
• Promote the YMCA's values and wellness philosophy.
• Be a YMCA ambassador in communication and branding.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
