Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Part-Time Personal Trainer to join Tom Taylor Family Y in Gig Harbor, WA. You will design and lead personalized sessions, adapt programs to members' goals, abilities, and lifestyle, and foster a motivating, inclusive workout environment.

As a key member of our fitness team, you will conduct assessments, maintain records, ensure safety, and promote the YMCA’s values while delivering exceptional member service across Pierce and Kitsap Counties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• NCCA-accredited Personal Training Certification or relevant degree preferred.
• Two years of health and fitness experience.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications.
• Must work in-person at all YMCA Centers and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and instruct personal training sessions for members.
• Provide in-person training sessions across Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
• Assess health history questionnaires and fitness assessments for programs.
• Offer feedback, encouragement, and reevaluations to support ongoing programs.
• Maintain records of sessions and payments; promote the training program.
