Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer to help members become healthier and stronger. You’ll design and lead personalized fitness sessions, tailored to goals, abilities, and lifestyle, delivering energetic and empowering programs.

You’ll motivate, educate, and support lasting lifestyle changes, maintain records, conduct fitness assessments, and promote an inclusive, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Certification from a nationally accredited organization (NCCA-certified preferred).
• Two years of health and fitness experience.
• Ability to work in-person at YMCA centers throughout Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
• Current CPR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and instruct personal training sessions for members.
• Provide in-person sessions at YMCA Centers across Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
• Offer feedback, encouragement, and reevaluations to support ongoing programs.
• Maintain records of assessments and appointments.
• Promote the YMCA personal training program and ensure proper billing of sessions.
• Educate members on proper equipment use and uphold an inclusive environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
