Job summary

YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is seeking a Personal Trainer to provide high quality exercise prescriptions to members and program participants at our Davenport facility. The role includes completing fitness assessments, tailoring programs for diverse fitness levels, and giving clear technique guidance.

Candidates must be certified nationally (AFAA, ACE, NSCA, NASM, or ACSM) and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nationally recognized Personal Training certification.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications required prior to hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fitness assessments to understand members' current fitness levels.
• Tailor training programs for various fitness levels and preferences.
• Provide clear and concise instructions on exercise techniques.
• Demonstrate proper form and posture to minimize risk of injury.
