Marathon Petroleum Company LP is hiring a Personal Safety Professional for the St. Paul Park refinery. The role provides technical safety support for operations, audits safety programs, and investigates incidents to ensure regulatory compliance.

The candidate will serve as the primary safety resource for the assigned area, partner with operations and L&D, and help drive safety improvements. A high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in HES with experience is required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required with 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in HES related field with no relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Capable of identifying safety hazards and working as an independent problem solver.
  • A valid driver’s license and TWIC license is required upon hire.

  • Assess safety risks and develop mitigation plans to address identified hazards.

The successful candidate wil be the primary safety resource for an operations area team. The Safety Professional is responsible for a wide range of safety activities including regulatory and company interpretation of Safety standards, conducting safety training, auditing and implementing applicable corrective actions. The candidate should be familiar with OSHA standards.
