Job summary

Western National Insurance Group is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriting Intern to join its Personal Lines Underwriting team as part of the Summer 2027 Internship Program. This role offers hands-on exposure to writing Personal Insurance policies and supporting underwriting activities.

You will help maintain rating and coverage, assist with renewal changes, assess replacement cost value, review property inspections, and update policy information while collaborating with agency force.

Qualifications

• Completed two years of college preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Intermediate experience with Word and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Helping maintain accurate rating and coverage on Personal Lines policies.

Position Summary:

As a Personal Lines Underwriting intern in our Internship Program, you will be a key contributor to our Personal Lines team. Possible tasks that you assist with include:

Requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Completed two years of college preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail

• Ability to work onsite at our corporate office in Edina, MN

Compensation Overview:

The base pay offered for this position will be $20.00/hour.
