Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance in Indiana is seeking an underwriter to learn and apply property/casualty underwriting principles, analyze risks, and make informed decisions. You will read policies and endorsements, assemble information, and communicate conclusions clearly to agents and internal teams.

The role includes participating in the underwriter training program, developing product knowledge, and contributing to a supportive team focused on financial security for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casualty underwriting.
• Ability to organize data, multi-task and make decisions independently.
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to write reports and compose correspondence.
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Continually develop product knowledge through participation in approved educational programs.
