Job summary

Univest Insurance is seeking a Personal Lines Service Agent to educate clients on coverage options and provide trusted service. The role requires a PA license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) and at least one year of customer service experience.

Training will be in-office for six months, with a hybrid option after successful completion. You will underwrite accounts, process policies and renewals, and support the Sales Team through a structured workflow in Epic, while maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Current property and casualty license in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Thorough knowledge of personal lines coverage and products; able to navigate rating software and carrier sites.
• Excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and PC skills; able to multitask.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and team-focused mentality.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients on value of a well-crafted insurance program with a consultative approach.
• Underwrite accounts per carrier guidelines and obtain required reports.
• Enter customer information into agency management system and document accounts.
• Process submissions, renewals, endorsements, cancellations and payments.
• Support Sales Team and review renewals, offering remarketing when warranted.
• Communicate with clients and company personnel by phone, in person, or writing.

Responsibilities

• Seek to educate prospects and clients on the value of a well- crafted insurance program. Promote a consultative approach to build credibility and establish relationships.
• Adhere to objectives established in annual PL Service Goals
• Anticipate and respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner. Provide coverage solutions for changing exposures.
• Enter customer information into proprietary agency management system, and continue to document account as required.
• Underwrite accounts adhering to insurance carriers guidelines. Obtain Scoring, Motor Vehicle Reports and CLUE reports as appropriate.
• Upload or forward submissions to carrier for issuance.
• Provide support to Sales Team per structured workflow in Epic.
• Review renewals, including offering remarketing when warranted, analyze policy coverages and make suggestions as appropriate, follow-up with companies and clients as needed
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and documents through agency management system and company web-based software
• Receive and process premium payments, complying with appropriate workflow requirements.
• Communicate and interact with clients and company personnel by phone, in person, or in writing
• Adhere to workflow and departmental procedures, maintaining compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct

Qualifications

• Current property and casualty insurance license in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of hire, with a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
• Position requires 6 months of in-office training, with eligibility for a hybrid schedule of up to 2 work-from-home days per week after successful completion of training.
• Thorough knowledge of personal lines insurance coverage and products, familiarity with ISO Personal Lines Manual and specific coverage forms
• Knowledge of rate-making and proven ability to operate comparative rating software and navigate carrier sites to confirm pricing
• Exhibits excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and PC skills, proficiency in multi-tasking
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and team-focused mentality

Wage Range

The salary for this position ranges from $45,000 to $50,000
