Job summary

MetzWood is seeking a Personal Lines Licensed Service Advisor to deliver high-quality service for our personal insurance clients, from onboarding to annual reviews.

Based in Chatham or Hudson, NY, this full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with licensing support, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within a collaborative team.

You will advise clients, prepare quotes, handle claims guidance, and uphold underwriting standards while working closely with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service across multiple channels.
• Familiarity with agency management software (Applied Epic).
• Licensed Property & Casualty or able to obtain within 60 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Advise and provide high quality service to personal insurance clients.
• Communicate with clients over phone, email, and in person.
• Identify client needs and proactively recommend additional products and coverages when appropriate.
• Prepare quotes and present to the client.

The Personal Lines Service Advisor is at the core of MetzWood’s success. We believe in protecting the moments that matter most, and this role brings that to life for our clients and our community. As the Personal Lines Licensed Service Advisor, you’ll be responsible for creating a positive experience for our MetzWood clients, from customer onboarding to annual reviews, and everything in between.

This full-time position will be primarily based in Chatham or Hudson, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Advise and provide high quality service to personal insurance clients
• Communicate with clients over phone, email, and in person
• Identify client needs and proactively recommend additional products and coverages when appropriate
• Properly prepare quotes and present to the client
• Report claims on behalf of clients and offer guidance throughout the process
• Follow all necessary agency procedures and maintain high underwriting standards to best serve our clients
• Work collaboratively as a part of a team to fulfill the needs of our clients

Requirements

• Experience in customer service, interacting with customers over email, phone, and/or in person
• Ability to learn quickly, from understanding agency processes and procedures to adeptly utilizing our Agency Management Software system (Applied Epic)
• Eagerness to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience working in the Insurance industry is a bonus, but not required
• Currently hold a Property & Casualty License, or ability to pass licensing exam within first 60 days of starting the position. If not currently licensed, MetzWood will pay for cost of licensing course and provide time during normal working hours to complete necessary training
