Job summary

Crespo Insurance Agency in New Jersey is seeking a Personal Lines Producer responsible for maintaining profitable relationships with personal lines clients and growing the book of business through new client sales. You will identify opportunities, quote, bind coverage, and support renewals while delivering excellent service.

A valid insurance license and 2+ years in personal/commercial lines are required; strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Hold the state insurance license and have at least two years of personal/commercial lines account management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, rating procedures, underwriting processes, coverages, and industry operations.
• Proven track record of B2B sales with ability to close deals.
• People-oriented, customer-focused and professional in developing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
• Foster and maintain relationships with clients and prospects through follow-up, accurate quotations, and general account support.
• Actively prospect accounts, solicit increases in coverage and network for new clients, including win backs.
• Obtain best coverage/rate, process quotes, bind insurance coverage, and coordinate inspections/documentation.
• Present policies and educate insured on coverages and rates.
• Support renewals and retention, maintaining strong client relationships.
• Monitor sales metrics and document activity in a timely, accurate manner; collaborate with team and participate in meetings.
• Maintain CE and ongoing education to stay informed about products, legislation, and technology.

Job Description

The Personal Lines Producer at Crespo Insurance Agency is responsible for maintaining and maximizing profitable relationships with personal lines clients and for growing the book of business through new client sales.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
• Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support. Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs.
• Actively prospect round accounts, solicit increases in existing client coverage and network for new clients, including win backs.
• Obtain best coverage/rate for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage; follow up as necessary with inspection, photos, and other documentation. Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates.
• Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention, maintaining strong client relationships.
• Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
• Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
• Maintain CE and participate in ongoing education, staying informed regarding industry information, new product releases, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

Qualifications

• Hold the insurance license required by your state and have a minimum of two years of personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting processes, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain an existing client base.
• Have a proven track record of business-to-business sales success. Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales.
• Be people-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing existing clients.
• Possess outstanding organizational skills with the ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision, sound business judgment, strong decision-making, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Have excellent time management skills, thrive in a team environment, and demonstrate technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems.
